ŁKS Commercecon Łódź wygrał z SC Prometey Dnipro w meczu 4. kolejki CEV Ligi Mistrzyń. Łódzkie Wiewióry nie miały jednak łatwego zadania, wynik meczu rozstrzygnął się dopiero w tie-breaku. Mistrz Polski wyszedł w nim z opresji i świetnie rozegrał ostatnie akcje, wygrywając 15:10 i cały mecz 3:2. 

W łódzkiej Sport Arenie, mimo zimowej aury, panowała gorąca atmosfera. Na trybunach nie zabrakło kibiców obu drużyn. Już w meczu z Albą Blaj ekipa Prometeya udowodniła, że jest mocnym rywalem i potwierdziła to również w spotkaniu z ŁKS Commercecon Łódź. W pierwszym meczu mistrz Polski wygrał 3:0, tym razem do zwycięstwa potrzebował aż pięciu setów.

W tie-breaku ukraiński zespół prowadził już kilkoma punktami i wydawało się, że jest na dobrej drodze do wygranej. W odpowiednim momencie do walki ruszyły łodzianki. Nie tylko odrobiły straty, ale świetnie rozegrał ostatnie akcje meczu. 

MVP meczu została wybrana środkowa mistrza Polski – Aleksandra Gryka.

– To był dla nas bardzo interesujący mecz. Jesteśmy młodą drużyną, w której nie ma zbyt wiele doświadczonych zawodniczek. ŁKS to drużyna z tradycjami, ale myślę, że my rośniemy z każdym meczem. Krok po kroku gramy coraz lepiej – powiedział po spotkaniu Lazar Lazarov, asystent Ivana Petkova.

– Wygrałyśmy niestety w tie-breaku, ale musimy docenić to zwycięstwo. Liga Mistrzyń to ciekawe rozgrywki, na pewno na wyższym poziomie niż ligowe. Ciągle jesteśmy w grze i mamy szanse na awans do kolejnej rundy – podkreśliła Kamila Witkowska, środkowa ŁKS Commercecon Łódź.

CEV Champions League: Polish champion wins against Prometey

ŁKS Commercecon Łódź won against SC Prometey Dnipro in the match of the 4th round of the CEV Champions League. However, the Squirrels team didn’t have an easy task, the result of the match was decided only in the tie-break. The Polish champion got out of trouble and played the last actions brilliantly, winning 15:10 and the entire match 3:2.

A hot atmosphere accompanied the match of the 4th round of the CEV Champions League. The team was supported by over 2,000 fans, including a group of guests from Ukraine.

Prometey Dnipro already showed in the match against Alba Blaj that they are a strong team and confirmed it in the match against ŁKS Commercecon Łódź. While in the first match of these teams the team from Łódź won 3-0, in the rematch the visiting team set much more difficult conditions.

In the tie-break, the Ukrainian team was already leading by several points and seemed to be heading for the win. However, team of Łódź started to make up for the losses.The Polish champion played brilliantly at the end of the match, ultimately winning 15:10 and the entire match 3:2.

ŁKS Commercecon Łódź middle blocker Aleksandra Gryka was chosen the MVP of the match.

– It was very interesting game for us. We are young team without many experienced players. ŁKS is a team with tradition, but I think that our team grow with every game. Step by step we are improving – said Lazar Lazarov (SC Prometey Dnipro), coach assistant of Ivan Petkov.

– Unfortunately we won after tie-break, but we should appreciate this win. Chmpions League is are interesting competition, but for sure at higher level than league. We’re still in the game and have a Chance to qualify to the next stage – said Kamila Witkowska, middle blocker of ŁKS Commercecon Łódź.
